Efficient Processing of k-Hop Reachability Queries on Directed Graphs

چکیده
Given a directed graph, k-hop reachability query, u→?kv, is used to check for the existence of path from u v that has length at most k. Addressing queries fundamental task in graph theory and been extensively investigated. However, existing algorithms can be inefficient when answering because they require costly traversal operations. To improve query performance, we propose an approach based on vertex cover. We construct index covers all information using small set vertices input graph. This allows us answer without performing traversal. linear-time algorithm quickly compute cover, S, which use develop novel labeling scheme two efficient answering. The experimental results demonstrate our significantly outperforms approaches terms response time.

Efficient processing of label-constraint reachability queries in large graphs
In this paper, we study a variant of reachability queries, called label-constraint reachability (LCR) queries. Specifically, given a label set S and two vertices u1 and u2 in a large directed graph G, we check the existence of a directed path from u1 to u2, where edge labels along the path are a subset of S. We propose the path-label transitive closure method to answer ted DAG by replacing the ...

A set $S = {u_1,u_2, ldots, u_t}$ of vertices of $G$ is an efficientdominating set if every vertex of $G$ is dominated exactly once by thevertices of $S$. Letting $U_i$ denote the set of vertices dominated by $u_i$%, we note that ${U_1, U_2, ldots U_t}$ is a partition of the vertex setof $G$ and that each $U_i$ contains the vertex $u_i$ and all the vertices atdistance~1 from it in $G$. In this ...
متن کاملTimeReach: Historical Reachability Queries on Evolving Graphs
Since most graphs evolve over time, it is useful to be able to query their history. We consider historical reachability queries that ask for the existence of a path in some time interval in the past, either in the whole duration of the interval (conjunctive queries), or in at least one time instant in the interval (disjunctive queries). We study both alternatives of storing the full transitive ...
متن کاملAnswering reachability queries on streaming graphs
Graph reachability is a fundamental problem in many applications, such as reasoning in lightweight formalisms, geographic navigation, XML/RDF/OWL query processing, etc. Many real world scenarios involve huge graphs and require fast algorithms to test for reachability between nodes. The problem becomes even more challenging when the graph is rapidly changing and received as a real-time stream of...
متن کاملEfficient Processing of Distributed Top-k Queries
Ranking-aware queries, or top-k queries, have received much attention recently in various contexts such as web, multimedia retrieval, relational databases, and distributed systems. Top-k queries play a critical role in many decision-making related activities such as, identifying interesting objects, network monitoring, load balancing, etc. In this paper, we study the ranking aggregation problem...
